About Us

Launched in March 2020, Forth Valley Radio (FVR) is a community based radio station broadcasting across the Forth Valley area and the world. The idea for FVR was generated by Steve Mac with the ambition of bringing a wide range of music and show styles to both the local community and the wider world. FVR is available DAB+, our website and via Apps from major app stores. You can also ask Alexa to play Forth Valley Radio.

With shows covering music styles from Country to Soul, Pop to Ceilidh with a sprinkling of easy listening - there is a show for everyone! Specialist programmes such as our world famous Bay City Rollers show demonstrate we are a station offering the widest variety of music and conversation.

Nestled in the foot of the Ochils, we blend community news and events with all the important news and events nationally. We link in with local businesses and organisations to bring their stories to our listeners.

Being a Social Enterprise organisation we rely mainly on sponsors and advertisers to keep us ‘on air’ and offer a very attractive advertising package for businesses looking to leverage their business potential through the power of radio.
