Marion has always passionately loved music and everything about it. Fascinated at how musical instruments make their sounds. Many cereal boxes and jam jars were taken from her Mum's cupboards whilst bits of wire, strong and rubber bands disappeared from her Dad's garage.
Marion studied classical music and plays several musical instruments. As a teenager she recorded plays and radio shows with her best buddy. Marion realised she had a mission to work in radio broadcasting to communicate her love of music from all eras and all four corners of the world.
At BBC radio, Marion worked on daytime, evening and weekend shows: in the studio and outside broadcasts. She loved working on Children In Need and Comic Relief days and evenings.
Marion is now in her element here producing and presenting 'Marion's Folk Festival', Sundays 5pm-7pm.
You can contact Marion on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
